Best chimes and staffs for hexes?

i want to try hexes for pve, which is/are the best chime(s) and staff(s) for a hexer with 50 faith and int or more?

i wouldnt know about staffs, but as far as i know the dragon chime you get from the dark covenant is a good choice.

Sunset staff has REALLY good dark scaling, especially when dark infused, but its a bit slower than most other staves.

Chimes, the two best are a dark chime of want, and a dark caitha's chime. Caitha's is faster, but the chime of want allows miracles along with having better damage.

magic- staff of wisdom, magic infused

hex/staff- sunset staff, dark infused

hex/chime- chime of screams or idols chime, not sure about infusion

miracles- dragon chime, lightning infused

other notable catalysts

black witch staff-able to cast all the above,

sanctum shield- same as the black witch staff but its a shield,

witchtree branch- amazing magic and dark scaling, better early to mid game staff

blue flame/pilgrim's spontoon/sorcerer's twinblade- all weapons capable of casting sorceries

mace of the insolent/disc chime- both cast miracles and hexes

^90% useless except for sunset for hex staff

Chime of screams is worthless and idol is outclassed by want and Caithas


Caitha is good for only using hexes, however chime of want will allow you to use miracles. Specifically non scaling ones like heals and sacred oath which are very useful for pvp

Black witch staff only if you plan on using hex and staff chimes and don't want to use multiple catalysts
