Lucatiel died in No Man's Wharf for no reason...
I'm quite the hardass about getting the achievement for summoning her at each boss you can and beating the boss with her alive. Also I'd like to get her gear without killing her, I was talking to Carhillion and she simply died while standing for no reason, any ideas?

Are you sure she didn't just fall down? The NPCs will follow you quite well, but when you slow down or stop on a narrow path with deadly falls, they will most often strafe to the side while locking onto you, thus falling down the side of the narrow path. Also, the archers in the area can do some funny distance shots.

just use bonfire ascetic and use her on some easy boss, will count too

I'll hold off on doing that for now, maybe there's more to it. Besides No Man's Wharf is a pain in the ass to use an ascetic in...

I considered that she may have fallen, but I saw her die as in I saw the death animation happen in front of me I'm sure. Also there were no enemies as I had cleared the area before going to Carhillion. This isn't my first time doing the area and summoning her which is why I'm confused as to why this is happening.

Well, that's strange. Her summoning sign will pop up again if you rest at the bonfire. You'll have to clear the area again tho.

All NPC summon signs, after activating them, are visible until you've killed the boss. To get her gear and achievement she just has to survive the bossfight. If she dies during or before, just reload the area.

On my first playthrough, I summoned Lucatiel in Sinner's Rise. She appeared, turned back and stepped through the wall out of the world. No matter what I did, her sign didn't reappear. Sitting at a bonfire didn't help, not even restarting the game. She was just gone.

Well, I guess you should not have asked her to show you her tatas!

In my experience with her there,i become to notice she haves suicidal tendencies. There are 2 enemies that hold on the dock and wait to embush you on the way to the ship.Lucatiel likes to follow them in the water,if you atack them before they pull up,and she is around. Also she see's them and tries to attack, and can fall off .Most likely why she died.
That's Lucatiel for you.

Thanks for the replies guys, I already made another character since the previous one was just a bit over an hour in. No Man's Wharf doesn't take long to get to first few bosses are pushovers (Ornstein why you so weak?). I have a very bad case of OCPD and therefore achievement hunting. xD

You do know you only need her to survivee three out of four (Sentry, Smelter, Rotten, Sinner) boss fights, right.
Oh okay, all I heard about the achievement is that you need to summon her and have her survive where possible. Thanks for the clarification.

Personally how I do the Warf area is to solo it killing everything up to and including the ship, then I go back and summon Lucatiel. She falls off the warf too often for the reasons stated above. Also, just rest again at the bonfire, her summon sign will reapear as someone alerady said, but you have to again kill all the enemies, or run past them.

Hmm? But then she was surely a phantom when she died, and can just be re-summoned after a bonfire break?
Gilgamesh Jan 25, 2015 @ 12:40pm
I successfully used her for the Flexile Sentry fight, thanks for the feedback everyone.
