Dex Build Recommended Weapon/Stats

I'm trying to come up with a dex build, but I have no knowledge of dark souls 2 dex weapons and I'm not very good at coming up with good stats. Can someone recommend me a decent weapon and some stats to focus on? Thanks in advance.

A good starting weapon is the falchion. Later you can go up to something like the warped sword or a katana. My recommendation for stats is stamina(20) and adaptability(35-ish whatever brings you up to agility 110 or 105) and of course dex(40). The rest of the stats depends on what you want to rely on, using a shield or dodge, have lots of health or perhaps have an arsenal of spells as backup. You could also go for a bow as a ranged alternative.

dex builds usually use either rapiers katanas or curved swords.
rapiers are an underrated weapon class in PvE because of their low durability, but they destroy a lot of bosses in NG from experience (the Rotten, Lost Sinner, Mytha, Scorpioness Najka) as well as a lot of fleshy or light armoured normal enemies, just keep a bracing knuckle ring on you and/or some repair powder. good for PvP as well because of how fast they are
katanas a have a similar deal except they deal slashing damage for the most part, suffer from low durability just like rapiers but are good in PvP
curved swords have some nice movesets and fast swings, and they have more durability, but are shorter in range, which doesn't particularily matter in PvE, and if you're aggressive enough in PvP it shouldn't matter either

basic stats you should aim for throughout the game:
50 VGR
50 END
40 DEX
30 ADP
if you want to add ATN/INT/FTH for buffs/spells then do that, though they're not required by any means
if you plan to use Flynn's Ring (which I highly recommend that you do), then keep your VIT at either 10 if you're going to wear Third Dragon Ring as well, or 14 VIT without

Here is a brief instruction:
1. Get the weapon with a moveset that fits your style
2. In the choice of armor, use the following concept:
> FASION SOULS ALL THE WAY <
3. 40 DEX + 40 ADP is all you need.

That is all you need to get nice Dexterity build
