i was expecting it help my big stagger weapons like gs or mh to stagger in 2 hits but still takes 3 yet a heide knight sword takes 3 also....
its dumb! very dumb
so basically fast low poise weapons even my bandit axe doesnt stagger in 3 but a heide sword does...
Also some dlc bosses use a different system where they stagger at 30% health no matter what, and will never stagger outside of hitting that threshold.
This is just one NPC we are talking about , and sure , players can dodge the Alonne Captain's attack , get a hit in , and then proceed to wait for the second dodge and so on , but Stone Ring helps getting the job done way more simpler... Of course , weapons with 30 poise damage or more such as Greataxes , Hammers and all don't need Stone ring since their default damage surpasses 95% NPC's poise value anyway. In short , Stone ring are only good for weapons with poise of 20 or lower for PVE atleast.
overall theres much better ring choices!
works nice on dex builds as i said.
bottom line its a useless ring late game as you have a much better selection!
