How do you get into that pit in Cardinal Tower with the lizard thing down there?

It's right under the bonfire and there are two items down there. I looked all over the place and can't see any doors. Is there an illusory wall, or do you need the cat ring, or is it that locked door you can't get in down by the boss?

if you have the iron key, there's a door to the area near the last giant's boss room.

The cat ring can work, but the way you're "supposed" to go is through that door in the basement. The key is in Iron Keep. Careful though, those guys will wreck your ♥♥♥♥.

you can totally do a plunging attack on the lizard in the pit aswell.

Got enough to buy the Cat ring right now too, but the plunging attack thing makes me want to try that, and then die when it doesn't work. >_>

On a related note, I just found out why those water vases are there at the beggining of iron keep.

You can jump down on to the rubble without the cat ring (you need 1200 HP) i never bother wasteing 12000 souls on a useless ring >_>

CAt ring didn't even work jumping down there to the bottom...lol

I only have 800 HP so far so I can't drop down without it. I haven't leveld up yet more than like twice. :P

I got everything. Took me 4 trips. Neede the cat ring to fall onto the rubble though. LEft me with only abotu 200 HP.

I couldn't yet. I couldn't jump from that side because I hadn't unlocked that door yet.

You dont need to jump from that side at all. Run and jump from the ladder side.
