can i straight up murder Alsanna without clearing her way for the soul?

^^^^^^ yeah.. just wonering if i can just straight up great arrow the tart and the soul will just like. pop into my inv. or do i actualy have to atleast get to her to pick it up. i really want my king armor damn it.

You have to clear all of the ice to be able to buy the Ivory King set.

not really. her soul triggers maglin to sell the armor

Killing her automatically breaks the ice and you do get her soul, she can't be respawned with an ascetic though.

Everything I've heard says you need to collect 50 souls before he'll sell the armor and killing won't work.
You also won't get the uncharred Loyce set.

Thank god I reloaded an older save when I killed her. I wanted to keep her alive :s

Also, do you keep the Loyce Souls when entering a new playthrough/bonfire upgrade?

They have changed that. Killing her now clears the way and also drops the "Soul of Alsanna, Silent Oracle". To get the armor to trigger at shop you still need to kill the Ivory Kind though.
