Just level up FAITH and INT and infuse the weapons you like with darknight stones.
There are some weapons that can cast miracles/spells/hexes like the Blue Flame, Pilgrim Spoontoon (DLC) and Sorcerer Twinblade (DLC), these are cool because you can mix melee and spells.
You don't have to level up INT and FAI equally to get a good amount of damage, as dark scales with FAI+INT, so level up one or another more if you want to use an specific spells that requires more stats.
Could you please give me a pattern for my stats, since i'm not very good at it. something like
vigor 20
end 20
adp 20 and so on. thx very much
If you got the strength, get the Crypt Blacksword. Infuse that with dark, use resonant weapon on it and two-handing will wreck everything forever. You'll get the weapon later in the game, tho.
Stats will usually give you less benefit after hitting 40, but getting about 40-50 INT and FTH is important if you want to be a pure hexer with max damage.
Best aka. most damaging single-hit spell for hexers is Resonant Soul. It costs 500 souls to cast and hits like a truck. Of course there's Climax which is much stronger but it uses ALL of the souls you're carrying. Other useful spells are Resonant Weapon, used of course on a dark infused weapon. Scraps of Life and Darkstorm are very good at crowd control and knocking weaker enemies down, giving you some breathing space.
Kill The Rotten on NG+ or by using a Bonfire Ascetic to raise him to that level and you'll get a special soul that can be traded for Numbness that gives you high physical defense for a short moment. Good against hard-hitting bosses.
About armor, you'll want to use as light armor as possible since a lot of your stat investment will go to attunement, int and faith. Get the hexer set because its hood will give you extra uses for all your spells. Other armor is just up to you since light armor won't give you much any defense, so it's just a matter of looking swagger.
Also get the Dark Fog. Use it to take out enemies that you have hard time killing otherwise. Also use it to conserve other spells.
The hood of the mentioned sets usually have a good effect for these kinda of builds, so you can pick the one you like the most and mix it with other light sets.
For rings, you could use the Clearstone Ring (boosts casting speed) and Any Dragon Ring (it bossts your HP and END, wich is rather good as you won't be spending too much points into these stats).
This not true cause dark scales with the lower of the two. And as a hexxer you want to go dark so you must raise INT and FAITH to the same value if u wanna be gud
Vig 30+
INT 50
FTH 50

VGR 26

STR 40
DEX 10
ADP 10
INT 30
FTH 30
which catalyst should i use (chime i guess?)
The catalyst I like is actually the black witch staff. It definitely does not do the best damage, but it's neat being able to cast certain utility sorceries and miracles as well, and not having to go back and forth between a staff and a chime. This is especially true since dark orb is hands down the best general use attack for pve, whereas for tough enemies you're probably going to want to use GRS at least, so that right there involves some swapping. Caitha's chime is really good, though, if you want to use one for specific encounters.
