All 4 Crowns but no Reinforced Crown?

As the title says, I brought all 4 crowns to the king within the memory, but he just repeats the ending quote from his original dialogue.

Help?

I think people are saying that you need to get all the crowns in the SAME playthrough in order to get it. So if you have a crown from a previous playthrough it might not count. Don't quote me on this though. Also be aware that the blessing screws the Old Iron King Crown up (if you use it).

Hrm, so in that case I just need to run through the first DLC with my friend again.

You were right, spent half an hour to make it to the dragon, spent 10 minutes to kill it, went back to Vendrick, aaand got the blessing.

Far as I can tell, all the crowns act like a half assed RoLP, you drop your souls but don't go hollow.

Has to be handy for PvP though if on the bridge, fight to your heart's content so long as you pick up your souls.
