Lud and Zallen weakness

First off ♥♥♥♥ frigid outskirts. I'll get right to the point. What did you guys find to be the best way of fighting the twin tigers and what elements and attack types are they weak to?

Spent a whole day trying to kill them, fought with Fume knight greatsword. Shield is no good for this encounter, one beast leap and all the stamina is gone (even with ring that lowers stamina drain when shielding). Managed to kill Lud a coupe of times, but Zallen always got me.

I actually found a way to repel these two beasts quite easy. I crafted two smelter swords (aged and regular versions) and upgraded them with all the PDB I had (so I had SS+5 and ASS+4). Then dual wield them and switch to power stance. (I have STR 60 DEX 45) I unloaded the char to have <70% load to be able to roll. (still had to sue dragon and soldier's rings) Equipped knuckle ring+2 (otherwise swords won't live till the end of the fight).
Then go to the fight, and once the kitten jump on you, roll under him, and place a heavy strike. Roll away, repeat. The simultaneous strike of theese two swords places a huge amount of damage.
I finished off Lud and then Zallen even before he managed to cast his "empower" magic. It's just the 25 dragon bones that were whoopped away...

They're weak to slash and a bit to fire. Best would be to get a high damage physical and charcoal resin it.

They are exactly the same as Aava with less HP. I managed to kill them by summoning both NPCs, one distracts the other kitty. Kill the first kitty. The other will go into full rage mode while healing some of his HP - wait for his buff to finish then kill him.

Vengarl is really tanky for this and can take many hits, even when kitty rage mode is happening.

Vengarl is indeed more than enough for that fight on normal NG, he can also deal quite some damage.
You don't really need fancy stuff for that fight, like powerstanced greathammers or something like that, just Vengarl and your dodging skills. The hard part is getting to the boss in one piece and with enough estus.

I absolutely destroyed these guys/gals alone with the espoda ropera with dark pine resin, I did have 60str and 60dex however. 400 dmg a poke melts them real quick...

Hey everyone I was good beating them, like right after I posted this. Don't underestimate the amount of time they give you between attacks. I ran out of estus and survived the fight without summons and 10 lifegems. Not easy, not fun, not fast but it worked for me. I think I was probably using the Lightning Defender Greatsword +5 with 30Str/30Dex/50Fai.
