(Spoiler) Upstairs in Cathedral?

I beat the Old Ivory King/got crown, I talked to the 'lady' and she gave me some armor and shattered SOME of the ice leading upstairs, but not all. Did I miss anything? I can't get up there.

go back into The Old Chaos and beat up the knights that spawn every 1 1/2 minutes until you have 50 souls. Give them to Alsanna and try tongue but hole

or...alternatively just snipe Alsanna, but you will miss out on the fun of grinding

You'll also miss out on some badass non-charred loyce armor

If you snipe Alsanna you also don't get the armor pieces she gives every 10 souls or so.
