DARK SOULS™ II

DARK SOULS™ II

Statistiche:
Ring of the embedded
Anyone know exactly what is meant by, "Gain suprises"? Coming from this expansion, that could very well mean random instant deaths while exploring.

According to the wiki it just raise stats based on how low they are (the lower the higher the bonus).

It claims that "Wearing this ring also increases your physical damage output similar to the Ring of Blades." and here people claim it gives a chance of critical damage. Have people tested it WITHOUT the Engraved Gauntlets to see if they do indeed give critical chance by themselves? If what oaks claim is true then it seems reasonable to assume that it might give a +5% increase on top of the 5% given by the engraved gauntlets.

Well, wow x2. If it really does increase EVERYTHING that much...Let me test the Ring of Blades theory myself.

yup im critting a lot more with this ring on, coupled with the Engraved Gauntlets you become a God-King of crits. The stat increases from this ring too aren't too shabby either, very worthwhile!
Dunno for certain what embedded ring does, but I'd agree to use it with the engraved gaunts. Wow lastnight I got a back-stab with the bonus crit from EGaunts and with a winged spear and the leo ring. I love that sound effect. It sounds like victory.

edit: "wow" lol

Ok, I tested it. It does not give bonus AR, but I can 100% tell it gives crit chance.
I used +0 Bandits Knife and RoB+2, was smashing the Knight in Dragon Shrine, try it for yourself if you want. Instead of 25 damage it gave 200+at times, but it wasn't playing that crit sound like Engraved Gauntlets do, that is why I didn't notice.

Insane ring I must say. Giving so much to stats AND crits...Althought it stacking wth Engraved should be tested seperately.

I don't know because engraved gaunlets is a must on all my characters, still a nice boost for lower soul levels.

Doesn't it just give +6 to VIT, VIG and END?

Yeah it's this, it has nothing to do with Crit.

I actually tested it and it indeed gives crits. Or sort of. Look around for my post above, I explained it.

We need to test Egaunts and Embed Ring separately for results as well as together. Some items that have similar effects cancel each other out. Like prisoners tatters override covetous gold serpent ring.

Okay then, I'll do more test a few minutes later today.
Edit: I'm actually tired as hell, but I will do the tests tommorow then, record them and post here.
If it is possble, could please someone here in NG+1 and above take the Nil Curved Greatsword and screenshot it? I really want to see the promised aura in NG+ on it.

From my experience the crit of the ring stack with the crit of the gloves. The critical from the ring is like a different critical from the gloves but both may happen on the same hit for 2k+ dmg. Further testing is required.
The stats depend on your soul level. It gives more stats the lower the SL, making it very powerful if you get early (15~30 free levels).
I've done more testing on this ring and I don't think it adds any critical chance. It doesn't boost the crit rate of the gloves either, neither does it boost its critical damage. It doesn't boost the damages of my weapons either. I'm SL 253.
The main purpose of this ring is probably to buff low SL builds, hence its name.
It's a soul level one ring. For insane runs.
curved nil gs looks like ring of giants buff but red
