Crown of the Iron King took everything that was wrong with Dark Souls 2
And made it worse. People are going to defend this because its Dark Souls and its ok to have flaws when its trying to be hard. Right?

No thats not how the Souls series and even Bloodborne work. B-Team just love to throw as much enemies as possible in a tiny room and hallways and being guarded by giants as well as getting buffed. Then they just throw a bunch of randomly exploding enemies that OHK and catch on fire? Why? At least in Dark souls when you go against a hoard of enemies, they are either slow and weak or grouped together in a pit that allows you to snipe them with a bow or use spells.

This game isn't like Devil May Cry or Godhand where you can face tons of enemies on screen and use crowd control and juggle them nor do you have infinite stamina.

The items in chest sucks why am I given herbs and bonfire ascetic in a fire themed area? Why don't they contain items that fits theme into the area? Why can't I get fire arrows, life gems, fire bombs or hell even flame butterfly seeing how torches have actual use. Why don't enemies drop gears like the first DLC? whats the point of fighting them if they are not going to drop anything?

This DLC was broken hard and relys on luck instead of actually getting better at the game.

Sooo, Dark Souls never threw loads of poise breaking enemies at you in tight corridors then. That's good, because it means the Bonewheelers in the Painted World aren't a thing and I won't get killed by them next time. For one instance...

Hmmm, pity you can't just run and dodge past the scary enemies on your way to Smelter2. Oh, except you can. For another instance...

Git gud... XD

I thought the bosses were enjoyable, but the rest of it was a cheap gankfest.

And people like you are the minority who think that this game is horrible and keep picking on it.

Somebody got stuck on Fume Knight.

I disagree, I liked this dlc, it was pretty fun. The only thing I didn't like was smelter v2, but other than that I enjoyed every second of the dlc.

I've liked both DLCs a great deal. In particular, I liked the level design with the curse thingies. As usual, the entire thing felt challenging but fair to me. The verticality was once again a welcome change of pace as it was in Crown fo the Sunken King.
Different people can have their own opinions, but I've definitely felt that I've gotten my money's worth from both DLCs.

What you are basically saying is "I can't beat each encounter with the same strategy, therefore it sucks". If the same strategy works for everything, it's called Skyrim.

So, you biggest complaint seems to be the room with the locked door full of enemies. Here's a little spoiler: you are supposed to use your wits there. It has to do with the useless OHK exploding enemies.

I'm sorry but where does wits come in when you are in a small corridor and enemy aggro all at once? You seem to skip the part in the OP where I said that there are solutions to get around the hoard of enemies in Dark Souls.

I am almost positive From specifically designed Dark Souls 2 to give you situations whre your particular choice of armaments would fail utterly in an effort to get players to think creatively instead of just in the same rut through the entire game.

in many of these corridors with many enemies and barrel guys there are these fire-spitting head on the wall that can be moved; you noticed that, right?

There's a couple different solutions here too. Shoot them with fire of some sort or use the flamespitting moveable turrets to take em out. The DLC isn't as hard as you're making it out to be. It relies on paying attention to everything around you, not just enemy numbers. The more enemies there are, the more likely there is to be some mechanic or environmental object you can utilize to make things less difficult than they might appear.

Waaaah i can't cheese enemies from distance waaaah.

Nothing randomly explodes, if you couldn't notice a guy holding an exploding barrel slowly walking into flames or a guy glowing orange as some hint to get away then i'm not sure what to say. The only enemies who catch on fire are from explosions or from walking into fire, so maybe try being more aware of your surroundings rather than rushing and mashing R1.

You get charcoal pine resins and some of the best pyromancies in the game. This just sounds like another complain by you because you found it difficult. :p

Normal post by you/10 :D

Stock answer: git gud, scrub.
The only problem I had with the DLC is that I needed the Ashen Mist to fight Alonne and that stupid ♥♥♥♥♥♥ area right before the blue Smelter fight with the unlimited poise infinite range TWOP casters and possessed greatbow bullies.

Other than that, I enjoyed this better than Sunken King DLC where every enemy had infinite poise.

u srs?

The point of the exploding barrel enemies is to take out the giants faster. You realise the giants leak magma to make them explode. OIK makes you take on enemies and ambushes differently than the rest of the game. Its not for running in and smashing everything.
