Faith might seem like a bad decision at first but will make a melee character THE best for survivability.
On my faith melee build I use wrath of the gods, sacred oath, sunlight blade, great lightning spear (multiple copies for a lot of casts) great heal, and blinding bolt. This is for pve and pvp. You could also put great magic barrier and emit force in there for some different spells and maybe a heal over time like resplendence
I'm near Dear Freja with both builds, so I am wondering if I should go through the whole process of burning a ascetic to get it as a sorcerer.
My cleric has done well surviving throughout most of the game. I'm just bummed at only having 3 lightning spear uses. Which seem surprisingly weak, damage wise.
