They do not stack with each other. They also do not appear to stack with any poison weapon damage.
Toxic mist deals toxic damage.
Just incase someone reads who hasnt played DS1. They are similar effects but also different
Just out of mischievous interest, they can't be stacked, right? :P
Personally I use Dark Fog more because Toxic is riskier - shorter range + longer casting time = Ugh. It's a nice option though for pure melee chars.
I would assume the 2 effects would STILL stack but I havent done any testing of it.
Poison doest 15 damage per tick, Toxic does 25 per. Not sure if they tick at the same rate.
Dark fog is the ONLY poison based hex spell in game
the 2 mist spells are pyromancies
Man, too bad the Dark Pyro flame doesn't have a similar effect, then people might actually be tempted to use it for something.
And well... I've a hundred of hours ingame and didn't see the Toxic effect yet.
You can get toxic'd from the rats in the Royal Rat Authority boss. Pretty sure that's about it as the Vanguard only poisons you (though I could be wrong).
