As a fellow gamer, make sure you've got as much looting gear equipped as possible. I like to chew on rusty coins for added luck, but that's me. It'll drop for you eventually though!

Got it on the 6th try ... You just have to be lucky i guess. Unless etach wants to explain further i see no other way.

At all the people boo'ing here. This is just one of the many things thats broken in dark souls 2.

1. full havel mages
2. dark is a extremely broken side of the game with dark fog being the cherry on top
3. monestary scrubitar
4. Magic in general is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to damaging. (Yeah you can roll though on the other side i can roll through a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of stuffs that doesn't give 1/2 hits)
5. Dual avelyn
6. Backstep parries
7. Everything else people still need to find out.

Almost every match i have people use one of these broken mechanics so in the end ... screw being honorable i've tried that. Get your scrubitar and abuse the hell out of it. Oh and don't forget to backstep parry no ?

Indeed, full havels with bat staff+dark fog+WoG+GMB+santiers+avelyns+hexes+scimitar is almost all you see above 15m SM, there's a couple of people with creative builds but they're too few, can't blame people for wanting to try this stuff out as you said, hence me offering the scimitar to OP.

A very noble thing to do my friend, most people just rather boo this person and on the other side use one of the other BOOO mechanics. There is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ wrong with this game so i won't judge the people using it anymore and simply use a few myself.

Edit: on top of that i believe there is another parry weapon with almost the same if not the exact same parrywindow as the monestary scrubitar which is a whole lot easier to get.
