Stone Twinblade PvE?

I was wondering if this is viable for PvE? I'm using an STR build with a bit of dex.

I loved dual flame weapon Stone twinblades, high str scaling is nice and hit plenty hard. Unfortunately i traded them for a Santiers Spear and never looked back

or use a real mans weapon

I'd like to know this too.

From what I've gathered, it's not that great if you like having some defense, or if you try to 1hand it. If you're going to play with Twinblades, you really need to committ yourself and play without a shield.

Not to mention that the long animations are a death sentences vs a boss unless you manage to stagger it.
