time and money, they run out and small things get dropped by the wayside.
Not to mention that you can't pick up some titanite shard because it's in the same drop as a humanity but you already have 2x99 humanity so the game won't pick the titanite up until you discard some humanites...
There is definitely one extra shard. You can take 12 sips and there are 12 shards. But the first sip doesn't come from shard, so there is one more. By the way I was doing blind run and I found extra shard and I was pretty much confused, but as I said there has to be some max number of sips.
There's only 2 wiki's I know of, and they both say the same. Either way, 12 is way more than you need.
That's 12 shards. You start with a flask. 11 extra from shards, plus 1 left over. So I was right, there's only 12 in the game.
E: I'm assuming they capped it at 12, and didn't realize that having 12 shards equals out to 13 because of the starting flask. Or they didn't expect people to find all of them.
Yeah, yeah... but I still can't see the problem with it. Twelve not enough? Because other way you may go for 50 sips from your estus flask, considering Astetics and NG+++++
