Skeletons take too many hits to go down, the summoners are often saved by me hitting the wall instead and the chariot boss has a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up hitbox that can easily hit you even while in an alcove. But only on higher NG.
Sif 2.0
The one in the curch, with the 2 healers. Not hard, but just badly designed.
Freya kinda, since she spawns enemies. Fight itself against her is good though.
And overall EVERY BOSS WHO IS BIG AND HAS A ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ BIG ARMOUR.
Enough of that ♥♥♥♥, almost no memorable fights like in DS1, just big dudes in armour.
Id say the worse boss is ancient dragon.
Best bosses for me were covetous demon (only cause he was hilarious), mirror knight, and dark lurker.
Best Boss Executioner's Chariot because he have the best mechanic in DS2, all other bosses are tank & spank... boring
Hardest Boss ancient Dragon and Vendrick, Dragon because of massiv fire and Vendrick because of one hit badass = one mistake and you are dead. (i know with the right standing and movement its easy but until than they are very hard)
Best Area nearly all with light up
Worst Area the Gutter without light *i hate the dark*
Best Area: Amana, soo much sniping, soooo much skill, i think i wet myself in there!
Worst Boss: Pursuer -> not long enough
Best Boss: Pursuer -> The fight feels awesome, he got a great moveset, some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome mechanics and he is soo bad ass, he comes again and again, did i already told you that parry is working fine and an important mechanic, its soooooo great
About strange bosses, what do you think of Demon of song? :P Thanks for your thought !
Best Boss: I have to agree with the Pursuer for one, although once you get this pattern down, it's just a matter of time. Velstadt was good enough as well I suppose, a bit on the easy side though but at least he pulled no insanely cheap tactics and he had a nice place in the lore. Darkluster with duplication half-way was Gargoyles 1.0 on too many steroids, he was a pain but at least he was interesting enough. Despite having aides, I thought the Chariot was an interesting concept, so props for that, I wish bosses were at least at that level of creativity a bit more instead of giant humanoid with tracking one-hit attacks.
Best Boss in my opinion: Royal Rat Authority.
Most creative boss: Looking Glass Knight. Because of the ganking mechanic. Thought I have yet to see him summoning anothe player midfight. Still... the idea is there.
Best Area of the game for me: Dragon Shrine
Best Area: Dragon Aerie, dragons flying everywhere and it looks great.
Worst Boss: Velstadt The Royal Aegis, that guy is a real ♥♥♥♥ to me.
Best Boss: Najka, reminds me of Quelaag.
This is just my opinion though.
The worst boss for me was probably the Ancient Dragon, in terms of difficulty, because the fact that he one shots you creates a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of tension. Otherwise, in terms of design, I'd probably say that the Double Dragonriders are the worst.
I don't know why people hate Amana so much because of the mages, as they're all quite far apart and you can roll through their magic. It's just the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Archdrakes at the end with their ADHD hammer combo that ♥♥♥♥♥ me over.
My least favorite area is probably Huntsmans Copse, because whoever the ♥♥♥♥ put a shortcut next to a tree should be fired. Joking, I'm gunna say that I hate Black Gulch the most because it's incredibly short and I fail 90% of the time I try to do some pro matrix run from the first bonfire -> hidden chamber.
I personally don't like Shrine of Amana because it's full of water (slow moving), bleeding building creatures, Hoaming casting mages, spamming hard-hitting melee dudes and holes that require cautelous walking.
It's not a hard part, but it's damn annoying because it's just too much things to worry about.
Wanna light a torch to see the holes easier? Well...then deal with all the bleeding creatures aggroing on you at once.
Wanna notice the holes without the torch? Well, be careful and look down while mages shoot you.
The only thing I can think of to make that region more annoying would be to throw a bunch of Tower shield tanking mobs there.
Worst area undead crypt: ♥♥♥♥ spawning everywhere all the time, crap blocking your way and dark as an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Amana at least looks nice and can be cheesed with ranged.
Best boss: Would have been Vendrick if his attacks were slower, far less frequent and had less hp which made it tedious. The fight was easy, however it was just a cool fight since you're fighting what used to be one of the most powerful beings in existance that hollowed the crap out to the point where he stripped naked and isn't even hostile. Also the music. The title goes to Velstadt though.
Best area: Forest of Fallen Giants. The only area that reminds me of the previous games. I also love to pvp there all over the place.
