How do you use spells as a knight?

Hi, i've been trying to figure this out..do I just need to find a staff and attune some spells, or is casting on a knight non-existant? Thanks everyone :D

You are correct on your first guess. You can buy a staff from a npc in No Mans Wharf if your intelligence is high enough. Also you need to add some levels to attunement so you can actually attune the spells.

Staff/chime and at least 10 ATN(=1 spell slot)

Firsy your going to need to level up your attunement to 10 . So you can have a slot to actually use a spell, miracle , or hex. If you want to cast spells you need a staff . If you want to cast miracles you need a chime . If you want to cast hexes you need both or a unique staff that appears later in the game.

You can use any ability or item in the game, you just the need the stats to wield it. The point of the starting classes is only to give you different starting gear and stats depending on how you want to play.

Exactly as you said,
Get some spells and miracles (bought, or found around the world)
Get at least 1 attunement slot (some of the more powerful spells need 2)
Get a staff for sorceries, chime for miracles
Meet the intelligence / faith requirements
and viola! magic.

You can forget about attunement for a while if you'll find Southern Band Ring, escpecailly +2 version through ascetic (+3 slots). :) Though you'll have a very slow cast time.
