Best int scaling melee weapons?
Looking for a good PvP weapon for my mage build

Currently have 50 int and base melee stats for mace.

PS: No I do not want to use a moonlight GS.

I was wondering which weapons have best DPS when infused with magic etc.

Any suggestions would be nice.

Thanks :)

I see weapons like watchers greatsword and Dragonrider halberd scale nicely with int.

Are these any good? I cannot find any good info on them

Well, you've no-no'd the most obvious suggestion, a greatsword that scales amazingly from magic, with very low stat requirements.

There's a fair few weapons with fire scaling (Smelter Demon's, Black Knight's etc). Blue flame makes for an interesting weapon (by all accounts, powerstancing with high int is quite fun).

From memory, maces gain a B in int scaling when infused with magic, so not too bad if you have the strength to go with it.

many weaps infused with faintstone + buffed up work, from there it's mostly personal preference
i've been rolling a magic estoc + cmw

Honestly just use spells at that point.
You're bound to do more damage with spells at that point I'd say.
And Soul Greatsword is really good for melee range especially because it's relatively hard to dodge thanks to it's ridiculous range.

MLGS cannot be buffed. Its mediocre at best after being nerfed.

My mace is magic, I got the magic mage first thing when I started from copse.

Surely fire does not scale well when only Int is used?

Some weapons get a B or A scaling in int when infused, this is what I am looking for.

Also, I heard blue flame is REALLY weak melee wise.

I have a pure caster build with 50 int and 10 str/dex beat most of the game with the fire longsword you get at the begining and then infused it to magic longsword. Crystal magic weapon added like 100 damage to the base damage of the magic sword and then there is the piercing 2 handed attack which is quite useful. arround 350 damage per swing
Daggers can get a nice bonus too since they have fast combos and the +50 damage buff even if you are infusing with another element is more useful

I have a magic dagger + 10 as a back up and for ripostes/guardbreaks etc. Longsword is normally a good option alongside mace for PvE.

Has no one experience with Watcher GS and/or dragonrider halberd?

Any Enchanted Black Dragon weapon realy.
Normaly they dont have scaling. But enchanted infusion makes them scale with Int, add their pretty respective base damage and it will be kinda good. Throw in magical or dark elemental spell on it - and you are set to pwn.
The only cons are: the weapons are rare drops hence are relatively hard to get, and they are upgraded with a dragon bones.

Uchigatana or Black knights halberd are very good weapons for a mage when you infuse them to the magic part you want. The Uchigatana is very light and has low requirements, buffed you can defend yourself in melee pretty well without having to put many points in dex/strength. The BK halberd has higher requirements and also wheights conciderably more, yet it also does more damage and has a very long range.

For pure self defense when people get close I would take the Uchigatana since it requires less points in melee abilities to use it and also does not increase your load limit much.

Yeah, I tried MLGS but it was terrible even though I'm at 60 int right now. My fire longsword that I picked up at the beginning of the game was hitting harder and faster. I wonder if I why was doing something wrong.

They use dragon bones.
And they drop from... black dragon knights, obviously. Greatsword is a dragon covenant reward only.

Which one, in your opinion, is best for dps?

Greatsword... i think. It does more damage than a greataxe. But axe does more poise damage.
Cant tell much about normal sword and warpick though. They must be faster.
