Wasn't that pretty much the ending and story for this entire franchise or did I miss something here? I mean don't get me wrong, the lore behind the characters in the world is cool but the story in these games is basically non-existant unless you read a wikipedia page...
At this this time around they come out right at the start and say:
"You are being sucked in to a portaaaaaal,
Whyyyyyyyy?
Weeeeee dooooon't knoooooooow!
Do you caaaaaaare?
Nooooooooo yoooooooou dooooooon't,
Weeeeelcooooooome to Daaaaaark Soooooouls"...
~ GOTY, Oscar nominaded, Juno Award winning next gen game... pffffffft, my ass.
Oh and P.S: You can skip the credits on NG+ and beyond, so not all hope is lost. :)
They just wanted to make sure you knew who put together this amazing masterpeice...
I'm not even sure if that last part was sarcasm... maybe. :)
This morning I woke up and really wanted to have breakfast, but first I had to wait 20 seconds because I had to pee. ♥♥♥♥ life!
Or use ctrl-alt-tab & select it in there & do the same.
As for the non-skippable titles, feck that shizz. Same goes for those at the start of games.
I don`t give a flying crap who made it, what firm published it or any of the gfx cards adverts etc.
That junk is as bad as forcing adverts on a dvd, then forced anti piracy images, before you can even watch what you paid for...
Way to appreciate the people behind such work. Just love how people take others for granted.
They gave you what? 76 hours worth of game time and you can't wait out a 3-5 minute credits scene?
It's no wonder that "devs don't give a crap about the game and they just rip people off their money", i mean, if that's the kind of attitude i get for my work i'm pretty sure i'd start looking at customers as cash cows.
Souls series has been known not the "spoon feed" the story. If you want to make sense of it all, you gotta pay attention to detail such as item descriptions, npc dialogues and then piece them out yourself.
Other games give stories from A to Z.
Souls series, they throw the letters at you, You have to arrange them in order to make any sense. Problem is, most people just go through the game, kill this, kill that and done. Don't even bother to pick up the pieces. In the end its left to our own interpretation, check out youtube and other forums, there are different interpretations.
I don't appreciate people that do ♥♥♥♥♥♥ work.
Alright, see you later!
Or not.. I guess
sounds like a kid,.. nothin more. this topic dead
EDIT:
why is "Justin Bieber" not censored...
When you played the first game, everything made sense and you could easily infer the reasoning behind design decisions. Sure it was difficult to get used to, but it was completely fair. Then you take the same formula, attempt to fix things that never needed fixing in the first place, remove the director who actually knew what he was doing, and try to sell the game off as a sequel to the first. Frequently I found myself asking "why the hell did they do that?" or thinking "wow this is a really dumb mechanic", and overall the game was 70% negatives, 30% positives. When everything works out properly, it's great, but when it's bad (and it often is) it's horrible. In the original, when I beat the game I DID watch the credits, because I felt like it was a very good, satisfying ending to an even greater game. I didn't feel any of that this time around.
Dark souls 2 is not a bad game, but it IS a bad Souls game.
