Is it just me or are they like no summon signs anywhere?

Ok so I just started a new character and so far I'm at the bonfire before the executioner's chariot boss and I've only been able to summon 2 people. There are like literally no signs anywhere. I just wanted to know if it was the same for you guys

There are really few people playing on NG, everyone is already peveepeeing on NG+

You can't summon as a hollow, use an effigy.

Are you trying to search near bonfire? People don't place signs at bonfires as much as near boss fogs. Also keep in mind that placing your own summon sign causes others to disappear until you cancel or get summoned.

It's probably because of your soul memory. You might be there earlier than most people. That's why you don't see many signs.

I'm not a newb. I know you need to be human to summon.

I honestly feel like the playerbase is superlow and I can think of a couple of problems that might be driving people away. It's most likely the crappy keyboard controls and soul memory.

Here's a question for you. Did you beat Lost Bastille? Sinner's Rise? If not, then you're at Huntsman's Copse earlier than most people. Which means your soul memory is too low.

well. I'm I've been playing a bit and recently made it to the iron keep and I am currently at 250,000 for my SM

I've been playing both NG and NG+ and it just seems like very few people put down their signs in Huntman's Corpse in general. I saw more in NG+ though which indicates that most people are done with their regular play through, or have at the very least moved on to higher level areas.

250,000 is low for Iron Keep.

If you haven't finished any of those areas, then I recommend that you do them. Once you do, you should start seeing more signs on the later areas, such as Iron Keep.

I see tons of summon signs personally, I haven't run into an area yet that I haven't been able to find people to summon to help me in.
