I can't fight Nashandra?

So I killed the Throne Watchers, and I wasn't able to spawn Nashandra. Do I have to kill King Vendrick? I heard he was just optional, so I was going to do it AFTER I beat the game.

You need the Ashen Heart which is located in Dragon Shrine, at Dragon Aerie and is located in Aledia's Keep, you need to have the Kings Ring. Once you get this (harder than it sounds), go into the Giants Memory at the Forest of the Fallen Giants and fight the Old Giant King and get his Kingship item, then return to the throne of want and fight the hag!

Thats misinformation buddy, that'll cost you some souls! You don't want to fight him unless you have 5 giant souls, his def is very high.

Go to the King's Door by Cardinal Tower and kill the Giant Lord.

really wtf, i only had 4 giant souls and it took me 2 trys with santiers+4

i thought i had to kill vendrick so i went in memories and killed all the giants

santiers is my pve weapon and bandit knife+10 mundane and poison+10 is my pvp weapons

Santiers doesn't scale off anything unless you infuse it with something that scale. Not to mention it's only +4 so your not gaining it's full potential. 2 tries isn't that bad, and you can get 5 giant souls.

No you don't have to kill vendrick to fight nashandra, cause i killed her without killing vendrick.

i believe the fifth soul is the ancient dragon but i've had him down to 1/4 health so many times and either i screw up or somone i summoned screwed up the balance and we all died

Don't summon for ancient dragon. Everyone sucks. Your best bet might be picking up another giant soul with an ascetic.
