Morning Star?

I have a +7 Lightning Morning Star and it's just so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome to use. I've managed to pump out a 1008 damage backstab with 55 str and it just felt great to 1 hit someone with it. Anyone else love the weapon?

thats a lot of wasted str that could be better spent in faith for better scaling...

Yep. The morning star's scaling isn't great anyway, and str doesn't really benefit a lightning weapon that much. It's kinda a poor choice of weapons there.

I had it Morning Star +3 for a long period of time which is why I was upgrading str. I also was using an ugs as well sometimes

You should restat so that you have 30 strength and 30 faith instead of 55 strength. It would make it more powerful than it is now since Lightning scales with faith. Not to mention you can use miracles too.

I enjoy the Morning Star. Both from DS1 and 2. It's fun to use and that's what matters.

Don't let these harry-potters talk you into going hybrid. Stick with the Str/Dex build, if you like it. The scaling on infusions/weapon buffs is absurd, and will probably get nerfed eventually.
If you like a build, stick with it. More power to you.

Morning star doesn't even use dex, and the str scaling on it is garbage if lightning infused. Hell, it's C by default, it's garbage even WITHOUT the infusion. I'm not trying to talk anyone into doing a hybrid build, I don't use them much myself, but a Lightning Morning Star is a poor weapon choice in general, and an awful weapon choice for a str character.
