Dragon Head Stone question

I have obtained both the torso and head stone from the Dragon Remnants covenant. I noticed that the fire breath from the head piece is rather weak. Is there a way to increase its damage? Also, it seems to hit multiple times depending on my stamina, does it do a lot of poise damage or am I better off wearing another head piece.

If it works anything like Dark Souls 1, the damage goes up the higher your rank in the covenant is.

I don't think it does much poise damage but I could be wrong.

Its strength isn't lying in that it's doing damage, it's that it's something to use as an unpredictable attack.

Also i haven't tested it extensively so i couldn't tell what makes the damage go up or what the poise break value is.

Yea the dragon head isn't to be used for nuking down enemies, but draining some stamina and chipping small bits away from a distance. Its a fun finisher move if you're having a hard time landing that last hit.

It used to do more damage the higher your SL was. But it's damage is now abyssmal.
