It's optional, but she's evil.

You do get sin if you invade her though. If you choose to invade her, you get a few items otherwise not obtainable, but nothing fancy.

EDIT: Did you notice that Nameless Usurper looks exactly like her at all? And the hint she gave when she tells you "You mus have a myriad of souls"? That's a huge hint there that she's evil and trying to get your souls.

There's a direct hint in the item you use to invade her. It's called crushed eye orb. The description says it all.

I noticed this too, but on my other character I killed her pretty early on and still got invaded by Nameless. It made me wonder...

You can get her items without actually killing her, if you talk to her with enough faith, similar to the other NPCs. Invading her is actually pointless since you'll probably get invaded before you get the Cracked Eye Orb and she invades you regardless of whether she's dead or not. It's mainly just for revenge and such.

Pretty sure she has a spell that you can only get by killing her in the invasion. Only matters if you're after the achievement for miracles. However, there could be a way to get it otherwise, but I'm not sure.
