Does it alter the games files in any way? Then it's possible to be VAC banned for it, unless confirmed otherwise by the dev team. Hence why the Q&A says "There's no official word" for it.
Skyrim has no online and no anticheat. VAC is automated, if there's any change in the DS2 process or the files, you can be banned for it. Check the Q&A. If it was unbannable, they would say "Yeah go ahead and use it" - Instead they've said nothing.
Huh? I don't really get what you're saying here. It isn't about changing an online feature, it's about changing the game whatsoever. It's not like VAC can determine that it's just a graphical mod and decide not to ban for it. Even if that was the case, there's plenty of graphical altering hacks that ARE bannable in games.
ESP / Xray vision for FPS games are a perfect example. Sure, you can probably change the HUD in csgo, but can you change the graphics so that the walls are transparent? I don't think so.
