But seriously though, go to different places and get your Soul Level up.
You'll kill him in a few hits once you hit SL 50~ and upgrade your weapon.
So I have to grind my nutmeg in this game? I could go play an MMO any time if I wanted a grinding game.
Well, yes. It is however very easy to get to SL 50. Beat some other bosses and then come back to the Pursuer.
Oh, and you're gonna love the guardian dragons....best boss design, ever....
Oh wait. You mean fight him head on? He can FLOAT bro. FLOAT. You don't mess with that. So no you don't need to grind. Use the environment to your advantage, have a summon, get the heidi or firesword. The turrets will kill him and after you beat him you can jump down to a platform up ahead near the nest and find a sweet set of armor and shield and weapon.
Rinse and repeat.
Actually that's how most of the boss fights in this game go.
I did try this, but I'm a sorcerer because magic rocks my socks. The windup on my attack ensures I can only get 1 hit in, and then he ends up hitting me during the process eventually and I die in 1-2 hits. I guess my only solutions are a) grind my nutmeg and b) keep smashing my face into the parry method until he falls down. Neither way sounds fun to me.
you can also progress somewhere else and come back later.
