The Rotten Great Soul

So I was fighting the rotten, I deid but while I was in death animation my co-op phantom killed it. I went back and found no great soul, but I did get the drops. How ♥♥♥♥♥♥ am I?

I didn't find the big red soul on the floor is what I meant, I got the inventory soul

There is no drop for the Rotten, ONLY Freija.

The only one who leaves their soul on the floor is Freja, the others are "embraced" as soon as they die, or as soon as you get the drops, i've never had that happen to me before.

If I recall only Freja has a secondary soul to pick up.

I thought there was a big red soul for every Great soul boss fight, do I automatically have it then?

I am worried that I don't have it, because I don't remember saying great soul embraced

If it's in your inventory, you've got nothing to worry about.
