try lowering your graphics setting and see if you have less stutters.

should fix it

tried it, im on the lowest settings(which really doesn't look much different from the highest, besides motion blur)

What's your specs?

if you still have low fps on lowest settings try lowering your resolution.

i also lowered resolution, specs have been updated into post

You are using integrated graphics on a laptop?
And it seems that the core speed is too low, compared to the minimum requirements.
Processor: AMD® Phenom II™ X2 555 3.2Ghz or Intel® Pentium Core ™ 2 Duo E8500 3.17Ghz

Game is CPU-bound, for once, it seems.

sorry to sound stupid, but what does that mean lol

Yea... those specs aren't cutting it. You are getting the warning for low frame rate because you DO have low frame rate.

Two things, you can try using GeDoSaTo mod to lower in-game rendering (instead of raising it) or you can get a better machine. Your options really are limited and only the latter one I mentioned is a definite solution.

Your CPU is under the minimum specifications.
You are also using integrated graphics on a laptop, possibly Intel HD 4000, which is not terrible, but also not ideal. I have no idea if Hd4000 is good enough for Dark Souls 2.

Oh, its odd cause, even though it doesn't meet requirements it always works perfectly, even during multiplayer i have no problem with lagging or anything like that, it just says bad frame rate and kicks me out

Im aware this is a 3-4 year old post, but this problem just came up.

This issue is also happening in Dark Souls Prepare to Die in which the frame rate is so slow, its a slideshow in which my button presses have a delayed response.

Having a similar issue, but game use to run fine with my specs, and i've 0 idea how to fix my problem. Framerate stutters, and my character has had his limbs amputated with a hand floating over my head. I have updated the drivers of both graphic cards with 0 results.

Forgive me as I am new to computer gaming and hardly know ♥♥♥♥, (such as what my motherboard is and if I even listed it below), I simply bought the computer, monitior, extra fan, power supply, memory, and graphics cards, then had them assembled at Staples. All of this was purchased back in December of 2013

My Specs:

Windows 8 64-bit (6.2, Build 9200)
CPU
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3330 CPU @ 3.00GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.0GHz
RAM 8192MB RAM
Dell Inc. Inspiron 660
DISPLAY
Generic PnP Monitor
1920 x 1080 (32bit) (60Hz)
Full Display Device with Internal DAC
Approx Total Memory 1792 MB
Graphic Cards
Intel(R) HD Graphics
and
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760
AUDIO
4-High Definition Speakers

Any other solution beyond Driver Updates?

Edit: I have attempted to reinstall the game.

This issue is on all 3 dark souls games, where the settings are turned down and cant handle the frame rate on any of the 3, the 1st is literally a slide show with delayed button responses and I cant even get Dark Souls 3 to launch. All my other games are fine.

playing online is pointless now. No one invades, and if you decide to invade they ether instantly Disconnect or summon 3 sunbros to stomp on you.

1.
There is no problem with you creating your own discussion to help solve your problem.
2.
I am not 100% sure about this, but I believe you need to make sure your drivers are using the proper GPU for the game. Right click your desktop and select the Nvidia Control Panel, then go to 3D settings, and then either change it globally or use the drop down menu to find the dark souls games and then select the proper GPU that way. Hopefully it is as simple as that, but don't be afraid to Google "switching from integrated GPU/graphics''.

Good luck.

That does seem to have something to do with the issue. The moment I clicked the NVIDIA Control Panel, what I got was:

"You are not currently using a display attached to an NVIDIA GPU"

Not sure if this has to do with it, but I had just bought a new monitor. Previous one died.

Also I attempted your google search suggestion, and I noticed I am missing the power tab from Intel Graphics and Media Control Panel Advanced options. Should be under media, but the next tab is Options and Support.
