DARK SOULS™ II

DARK SOULS™ II

Visa statistik:
Bow = SO MUCH CHEESE
Seriously though, you can cheese your way through a LOT of this game with a bow and a stack of arrows. Poison arrows for extra cheddar.
While it's nice for keeping my hard-earned souls... I feel like it takes away from the game a bit.
(Coming from a melee-centric build. Sorcerers know this already.)

Thoughts?

been the case for all souls games maybe a bit less previously as you had to stand still and fire.
for most part its up to you i guess the trade off is its bad damage and much slower then somebody skilled with a melee build.
Yeah, It's cheap but there's not much to be done about it without making enemies much much smarter or removing bows.

The reason I don't spam arrows all the time like I used to is because they cost souls, and the souls I'm spending on arrows are souls I'm not spending leveling up. This is for soul memory you see. I don't want to be fighting higher leveled players than I because I've been blowing thousands of souls on arrows to take out trash mobs.

Makes it a bit more balanced in my opinion.

some enemys are just ridiculous and swinging with endless stamina at you or you just get hordes with 5+ enemys at once, sometimes you need a bow or any ranged items/spells to get forward

yep, this game is so hard and hardcore that cheats are effectively built into the games mechanics. only thing cheaper is summoning phantoms to play the entire game for you while you stand around doing nothing

It would be soooo boring though though.
The only place I've used mine is for the archers at Iron Keep, and the sorceresses at the demon song place.
What self respecting sorcerer needs bows when you have binoculars.

Had to rely on my Dragonrider Bow and Poison Arrows almost chiefly at the Dragon Shrine. Those 2h mace/ultra-greatsword weilding Drakekeepers attack endlessly with unlimited stamina. Using a greatshield, I tried tanking one to see how many hits he would do in one combo, but I ran out of stamina at 10+ hits. Had to roll off the edge to a previous area just to get away.

How the hell do you even kill those without using ranged attacks?
