Blue flame sword is viable?
It seems weird, half physical half magic but can use magics on r2

It is viable.
Does loads of damage through shields and to those who are not holding their shields up.
Mine has an AR of 369 and it's +4 right now.

It can shoot spells with it's heavy attack and that seems to surprise many players as they are not ready for a sword that shoots sorceries.

It's also very powerful when buffed.
It can easily do around 300-500 damage in pvp against nearly all kinds of targets.

What type should I make it? There is poison, reguler, magic I heard was good too...

Necro-thread, I know...

Using Blue Flame, I infused it with Raw because it boosts magical and physical damage simultaneously. This is good when your INT will be no higher than 40 for PvP. And Crystal Magic Weapon for an extra boost, of course.

If it's not a INT build, it won't be really effective and any other straight sword will be a better option.

Blue Flame is great for INT builds and casters, because its R2 can cast any sorcery, and the damage is increased by your INT stats.

If you infuse it with Poison, interestingly it also increases both Physical/Magical. But it is not something to take to PvP and use it seriously.

Either infuse it with Magic and use Crystal Weapon, or leave it at normal +5 and use Ooze. These two should give the best damage output.

It's viable alright. A lot of scrubs use it, but it is something to be very respected in the hands of a skilled/smart player.

On the wikia, Raw does more damage at the 40 range most spellsword-builds operate under than Magic. If INT 99 is your goal, than use Magic infusion or drop it altogether for an Enchanted Staff of Wisdom +5 and another weapon of your choice (Magic or Enchanted infusions).

It depends on which you aim for though I believe? More damage you do with magic triggered by R2, or pure physical damage slashing with Blue Flame?

Raw enhances both magical and physical damage (even with B scaling for INT) and it beats out Magic infusions until past INT 40-50. And yes, Raw improves casting spell damage.

I am sure infusing with Raw drops INT scaling to D. Would you mind checking on that again?

Raw terminates any stat-scaling, and the "Intelligence B-rank" was referring to a Magic Blue Flame +5. If you want to see the numbers for yourself, the link to the discussion on Reddit is below. Basically, Raw infusion takes into account BOTH physical and magical damage of the Blue Flame, which means that at the weapon's maximum enhancement, you recieve all the benefits of physical AR, magic AR, improved backstab damage, and improved parry/guard-break damage.

In addition, you can still buff the weapon with both spells or resins/oozes and each effect is applied to your casted spells (Needs further confirmation, but I watched a GH Soul Arrow affect Bleed upon a target).

Long story short, Raw is the way to go unless you plan on cranking Intelligence up to 99... in which case you're better off using black witch staff or Staff of Wisdom.

Definitely viable.

How about a Dark Blue Flame? Throw someone a curveball casting dark from a staff and sorceries from the sword...
