For you knowledge ALT+F4 saves before the game exits

Everyone is like OH ALT+F4 will corrupt your save or blah blah. WRONG. I constantly use ALT+F4 to exit my games because when you use it. the game auto saves and then quits. watch where the save sign would be on your screen then ALT+F4. it comes up saves and THEN your game exits. its just so fast that most people dont see it.

alt f4 is known to corrupt saves, there is 4 posts on this fourm about it within the last week, it also, if you repeat it, bans you from online play, unless you use the bone of order, which you have one of (no one explain more on that)

It does not..The internet if full of people who are complaining about corrupting saves with Alf-F4 is this game and others. DS1 used to do it. Is this your personal opinion..or do you work for FROM software.

If people are so paranoid about using alt+f4, just fyi for you people that the game reminds you the next time you open it up that you didn't quit the game properly at start up. Atleast what it did on consoles.

im sorry i have used ALT+F4 over 100 times since the game released and i still connect to online matches. also to the fact that your saves get corrupted clearly you guys have no idea what you are talking about..

This is just like the first dark souls on xbox. just saving and exiting the game can cause your save to corrupt and it happened to both myself and a friend. we were just playing one day and our saves corrupted. we did not exit the game wrong we saved and went to the main menue and then exited.

Manymany hours logged, no corruption of my saved. I only play offline though.

I use alt + f4 after selecting exit game and the flame for saving the game goes away, just to be safe.

i shoulda explained, f4ing in pvp, my mistake, but it does cause problems for people, people have either had the dlc issue, unable to play the character at all, or just random crashing cause of it.

What I think is happening is the game -tries- to save, but before it could finish the program is closed down. Resulting in a few people with corruppted saves.

Just becuase it doesn't happen to you doesn't mean it won't happen to others. You have to consider all the possibilities

How sad this is a common problem and has been since the first dark souls. it was more prevalent on xbox and PS3 but clearly the way that FROM handles save games they corrupt easily.

Yes they do this on purpose. not corrupt your save file but if you quit during an invasion then you will be penalised. AKA not being able to play online anymore. Play smart and dont ♥♥♥♥♥ out of a match.
