Unlock all pharros doors
Is it possible to unlock everyone of them or are the keys limited and if you unlock one, you may not be able to unlock others? I didn't save any stone, means that every time I found a pharros 'face' I unlocked the mechanism with a stone I had in the inventory. Now I am at Iron Keep and have no stones. I could unlock the first one (the balista thing)....but have no stones for the second (after smelter demon) and third (on the roof) mechanisms. Will I be able to get enough stones to come back and activate everything ?

You get stones by killing trespassers for the Rat King, so there's an endless supply of them if you're willing to play online.

Some of the rat enemies in ratbro areas also tend to drop them, as well as numerous others.

As SushiViking says. But there are a lot of almost useless pharros contraptions in the Grave of the Saints, and Doors of Pharros zones, so I'd recommend opening those last of all.

useless as in not so great, or useless like totally waste of a stone ?

for me, even the pharros above the medusa boss was a waste

I didn't understand what it was for, as I had already emptied the pool of the poison by burning the mill downstairs....i guess the source of water would have made the poison less effective while fighting the boss, so yeah for me was useless

Well I DID encounter one Pharos contraption in the Iron Keep I think that pours out a sort of pink-ish water, and it heals, it basically is healing holy-water.

the pool of water cures poison, makes you take less damage from fire if you roll in it, and also heals you as you stand in it.

That is used mainly for getting the chests on the fire-rocks

yes in iron keep was quite useful (although the jars full of water do the same trick). the one before medusa fight was avoidable. anyway I could open the wall just after second fire (after smelter demon) and i think it was the pssage to belfry sol. unfortunately, also there the npc is aggressive towards me since the first time i hit the dwarf in belfry luna. i hate this i can't wait to get some kind of absolution

To answer your question, unless you are in rat covenant most the locks in doors of pharros are completely useless, just made to make the guy you summon in have a tougher time. Most water pool stones are almost completely useless (like the one you mentioned, if you burn the windmill you don't need a poison cure, and if you don't burn windmill all you get is poison from the stone)

Unless you are morally against it, I would advise looking up what the locks you find do, as many of them aren't worth it, but some of them are fantastic.

This can also be used on Smelter Demon to reduce damage you take from his fire aura.
