is the zweihander any good?

It's not really as good as it was in Dark Souls when there were no other weapons with the same moveset. Now there are quite a few more ultra greatswords that are better.

The zweihander is easily one of the best swords in the game if you use it correctly. Make sure you have high stamina and go for the tri hit combo "down, up, down" attack.

The regular Greatsword has the Tri-hit combo in its 2 handed mode, which IMO is better due to the extra damage inflicted. And it has a longer range (at least I think it does).

Who cares if it is the best greatsword? It's a Zwienhander! Its SO COOL!

The Zwei is my favorite weapon. While Konar is getting a lot of mileage out of the Heide Knight Sword +10, he just doesn't feel right unless he's using his Zwei. Once I actually farm enough chunks to level it to +10 it'll be his main weapon. Followed by HKS and maybe the Blacksteel Katana for samurai mode.

I enjoy the Zweihander since it's quite light for an UGS, letting me pack on heavier armor while still maintaining fastroll. With an off-hand caestus it's pretty rad.

Unfortunately the Zweihander is really outclassed by regular Greatsword, Claymore, and Mirrah Greatsword.
