Is the Slumbering Dragoncrest Ring broken?

When I have it equiped I still make the same amount of noise. Is anyone else having the same problem?

Better late than never.
By audio - my character makes no noise when walking at all.
But the effect does not work at all. You sneak up from behind to most NPC Mobs and they just turn around and slap you in the face before you even reach them. :|

Just like with Hush eh? Figures...
I will note that even with the Desert Sorcress skirt on, if I'm wearing something like the Smelter Demon top my character still makes the clinky clinky noise when they move. The type of armor you are wearing and total weight % may be a factor.

If you're looking to be stealthy try out skulls or the yearn spell. Works a bit better than the slumbering ring

It only affects your foot steps. Rolling and other actions still make sound effect, but not sure if it affects NPC aggro.

You can hear alot of the sounds, but NPC's and Players cannot. They did this because in the first game it didint seem right that you can't hear anything. Alot of people wanted to hear the clinking of thier armor. Rolling still makes noise though.

You get this from the Rat King Covenant. Which is a... PvP covenant. So... the ring is for PvP purposes. Of course it wouldn't work on NPC enemies.
