Need help at Starting Area

So...I started playing this game, and...I'm stuck at the starting area. I've chosen my class and all that stuff, but I don't know what to do now. The ghost thing doesn't help me much, either. I know this sounds very nooby, and it is, but I need help.

Learn the controls. I came in blind as well but I've been having a blast.
And you will die, a lot, but that's part of the experience

Ok when you're done choosing your class, go through the door and out to the first bonfire...light it and proceed into the level. There will be a couple of doors with mist infront of them, go through them one by one and it will teach you how to perform moves and the basics of the game, after that you follow the center path and it will take you out into the central hub of the game.

Also, there's 2 ogres (hippo looking things) guarding a coffin in the tutorial area...you don't have to fight them if you don't want to but if you want 2,000 souls you can lead them up to the log bridge and they will fall off if you bait them to do an attack on the log bridge...or you can go in the near-by cave since they can't fit in it and you can just take swings at them.

There's also one more ogre by the starting hut which you can kill for a Stone Ring and lighting enhancement...very helpful at the start but it might be to difficult to kill him if you are new (just bait him to do his sit attack, attack him once, back up and repeat).
