The lunge attack made it back unscathed.
You will have incredible difficulty doing this with the keyboard and mouse simultaneously (maybe it's even impossible), because the mouse buttons have an input delay. You would have to bind your attacks to the keyboard in order to pull guard break/plunge attacks reliably.

But they are practically broken on mouse AND controllers in the PC version.

They need to fix the keybindings. I can't assign Q for Interaction (it defaults to Enter every time) and I can't assign anything to my other mouse buttons.
