Spoilers: Tips for fighting the Ruin Sentinels?

What are some good tips for taking on the ruin sentinels. I've tried summoning the NPC but she doesn't do much damage and my equiptment loadout sucks. I'm a lvl 48 warrior with weak swords.

try to single them out. I usually try to kill the one on the platform first. If if falls/ jumps off the platfrom left it jump back up and finish it off. For the second two, it helps if one person keeps one busy while the other two burn down the other. Bellclair did pretty good damage for me in this fight at least on the floor where she could stay at range and use her magic attacks. she was a pita on the platform though she kept getting her ass kicked.

Well its obvious but maybe you should try to get a better weapon first. I dont know what you are into but for example the bastard sword (found in Forrest of the Giants) is quite good. You should be able to upgrade it to +4 or +5.

Tips for the fight:
You can fight the first one right on the small platform where you start. Just block his attacks and do not get pushed down. Once hes dead you have a few seconds to heal. Wait for the second one to jump up and try to hurt him a bit. As soon as the third one jumps up, let yourself fall down, roll under the platform and heal again.
Now the most important thing is to kepp them close to each other so one is not able to fall into your back when you fighting the other one. Bait theire attacks and then hit one with a single attack. Best case would be to focuse on one -> fight gets pretty easy as soon as there is only one remaining.

If you can tank the sentinels, the npc summon (Bellaclaire?) is an absolute beast. Use a high block shield and watch your stamina.

Get a 100% shield, you can find it on a corpse after the Persuer fight. Watch their attack patterns, don't get greedy one or two swings at most. Fight the first one on the shelf, then wait for the other two there after the firstt one is killed. Have your life gems que'd up in inventory. Wait until both exhust their stamina. Seperate often they will use stamina to close. Watch for the shield throw, avoid it at all costs. This fight takes me 5 minutes to complete, don't get greedy with your swings. Most important when fighting two at once, try as hard as you can to keep both in view. Good luck and Praise the Sun \O/.

Make sure you have upgraded your weapon first of all (should be able to get it too +5 i think) by talking to the blacksmith in majula and going on reinforce weapon/armour. If you are new to the game then use a shield (the drangleic shield is very good if you have the strength for it and summoning bellclaire is a good idea, just take the one on the shelf first then fight one on the ground while bellclaire fights the other. just remember to block and don't be greedy in attacking (2 or 3 swings depending on how much stamina you have). Also use the weapon whose move set you like the most as it will be better for you than a weapon with higher damage. Good luck!

Gold Pine Resin. No seriously, use it for them. I started to hit them for +300dmg per hit at lv 38 with the Bastard Sword +3. And as others said: Kill the first one on the ledge then go down and keep your distance and wait for the window of opportunity to strike.

Or eat an effigy and summon two phantoms to help you. There are tons of people on both nearby bonfires that are eager to help. I'm not so fond of Belllacaire, never found her that helpful - even though she packs quite the punch.

Yea, gold pine resin is quite good. I haven't been able to find it yet in DS2. I've already consumed all my effigies "5" and no longer able to buy more from the old lady in majula. Yea, It would be nice to summon others to help but i'm one of those improperly early vac banned players and i'm unable to join online services.

There is an NPC summon right before the boss that does massive damage to the sentinals with magic, think of that as your "give up" button I'd say. Really the best strategy is to fight the first one, and just get good at that.. memorize when to dodge and attack. Wait for the second one and fight him in the same spot until the third one comes, then jump down for the space. Don't go down early.

From then on, it's just very careful play. You are probably either going to want to go level up some more, or come back when you have a better shield, anything with 100% physical will make the fight a bit more simple.

Pick the weapon you are most comfortable with using. There is a human effigy in the house with the firekeepers if you havent already got it and if you talked to lucatiel in no mans warf then she will give you some in the lost bastille

Gold Pine Resin can be found infront of the house of the 3 Firekeepers. If you go back to the starting point over the bridge to the right should be some brushes where you can follow a path with big footprints. There's a big troll/ogre like creature which drops a cool ring and the corpse has Gold Pine Resin. Otherwise you could the the Ooze, which is the magic dmg version of the applicable buff.

The unupgraded Drangleic sword does a ton of damage (if you have to stats to wield it). You can even buff it with spells or resin.

Fight the first sentinel on the platform you start at. Take a lifegem before jumping down when the second (and soon after, the third) sentinels jump down from their platforms.
I prefer summoning at least 1 other phantom (be it the NPC or another player) for that fight so you both take 1 sentinel each and isolate them. Because you can focus on 1, it makes dodging their attacks and the fight in general a lot easier.
