It's especially annoying because there's not really an easy way to go offline in the Steam version, in the PS3 version signing out let you go offline at any time, but on Steam you have to do a bit more and even then I don't think you can go back to online mode without completely restarting the game. On PS3 simply going to the main menu and signing back in works fine.
Wish it at least had a play offline option in game, because the current method disables achievements while offline. Also burning a human effigy doesn't stop bellbro invasions either.
Nope you cant.. you have to be in the belfry area to sign and summon..... to assist just quickly drop your sign at the start and hope your summoner lives long enough to help.
Is it confirmed that it makes no difference at all? All the sources I've seen say that burning an effigy doesn't turn off invasions, it just lowers your priority... so is burning it completely useless, or is there just such a high volume of invasions in the Belfry that even with one burnt you still get regular invasions? If it makes you get less invasions at all then it's worthwhile.
I will say I feel sorry for the players trying to get across the castle because I got to that area and it sucks having tons of souls on the line and a player gets summoned because you have to go through that area.
