How do you equip a multislot spell?

This may be a dumb question, but it's driving me nuts. I have tried mashing every key on the keyboard, and cant seem to find one that will let me equip a spell that uses more than 1 slot (all my slots are full.) I mean, there is no way to "blank out" or unequip spells so that you have 2 open slots, after you have already equipped a full stack, that I can find.

Can someone please tell me how you do this?

isn't B used to unequip stuff? you can equip them pretty much the same way you use armor/weapons/shields, only at fires

I should have specified: I'm using the PC version - the "B" equivalent just closes the menu. I know how to equip spells, but trying to equip a multislot spell (that I definitely have the stats for) just makes the farting sound and does nothing, since all my slots are filled. I need to know how to remove a spell from a slot so I can do this.

Wow, it's pretty cumbersome to remove a spell..

In the attune spell menu, click on the spell you want to remove, then, with your mouse cusor, click on the "B - Back" button on the bottom of the screen.

After doing so, you can now righ click and select "X - Remove" from a contextual window that pops up to remove said spell.

Wow, thanks so much. No idea why this had to be so obtuse. Hopefully they make this easier, as this is the only problem I've had so far.

You can do this with just the keyboard, the correct key is function 1 (E by default) but it only works if the attunment slot is not selected (Red), if the background is Red press Backspace to make it orange, and then press E (or whatever you rebound function 1 to) and the spell will be unequipped.
