A mod request - respawn limit reset
Hi,

as you already know, after (around) 15 kills enemies no longer respawn.

From Software made a lot of changes in Dark Souls 2 - some fine, some bad. But one sticks out as game breaking - this is terrible for a million reasons, not the least of which is the depressing thought of running around an empty game world with nothing to have fun killing.

Please, Dark Souls modders, consider a mod that fixes this and brings back one of the selling points of the series: the unforgiving difficulty - in DS1 if you screwed up and died on a boss, you don't just get to try again, you have to fight your way back.

I don't give a crap if I get banned from online play for installing this. I want it.

Farming is lame anyways. If your complaint is about difficulty, why would you farm? And you can get more AND MORE DIFFICULT enemy spawns by using a bonfire ascetic.

Basically, you can move on, or you can make it even harder. Both are good options.

But it's potentially game breaking for new players.

Farming is required to get those rare drop enemy weapons, and it's incredibly aggravating to run out spawns while trying to get 'em, because of an idiotic feature that should have never been implemented to the game.

Except it is literally a non-issue. Ascetics. You can get more or less infinite ascetics since they also respawn.
I mean, I don't like the rare drops ♥♥♥♥ because it reeks of Diablo, but it is not a problem in the way you think it is.

As everyone else says: Use an Ascetic. Seriously, it's not that hard to do.

Bonfire Ascetics.
Why would you want to do anything else?

Helpful hint: You can get way more of them than you'll ever need via the Pilgrims. I'm sitting on over 30, and I'll use maybe 10 of them. And that's without purposefully farming them!

Edit: Can we all agree to publically chastise people who necro threads?

I feel like this could be done if it were based around the in game clock setting. So every time let's say a hour passes, you get a fresh new respawn without any difficulty changes. However, the time should be capped at 200-250 so it can't be blatantly abused, I.E. just going to bed and leaving the game on.

I feel like bonfire ascetics is the perfect method and that there is no need to change it.

Oh no deffinately not, but imagine if our press B to jump button just never showed up in the game as a option? Some like change and some don't, I feel like the people who enjoyed the grind aspect of DaS would enjoy this kind of mod just like I would enjoy a legal mod that increases early game cracked red eye orbs.
