A mod request - respawn limit reset
Hi,

as you already know, after (around) 15 kills enemies no longer respawn.

From Software made a lot of changes in Dark Souls 2 - some fine, some bad. But one sticks out as game breaking - this is terrible for a million reasons, not the least of which is the depressing thought of running around an empty game world with nothing to have fun killing.

Please, Dark Souls modders, consider a mod that fixes this and brings back one of the selling points of the series: the unforgiving difficulty - in DS1 if you screwed up and died on a boss, you don't just get to try again, you have to fight your way back.

I feel like bonfire ascetics is the perfect method and that there is no need to change it.

Yeah enjoy fighting smelter demon every time you run out of alonne knights trying to get their katana.
It's a pretty good fight.

How many knights are there in the whole of Iron Keep?
Even if they were one of the 10-kills enemies, there's like 10 of them. There's no way someone will get RNG that bad with items to discover more, especially if they ascetic once.

Oh, and Smelter is probably one of the handful of good boss fights in the game, so why would I want to skip him?

Maybe im just a black sheep, but I haven't seen any "bad" boss fights. Atleast nothing Moonlight Butterfly scale, unless im just being stupid. I guess added difficulty with the same repetitive motions would get old however, though being a Summon-Bro that isn't a issue for me since I love grinding/replaying bosses with others.
Any mod that fundamentally changes how the game works should not be allowed in online play. Period.

You don't even have to fight smelter.

What about a mod that nets early cracked red eye orbs so we can actually invade in NG?
I was farming the Dragon castle.
Imagine having to fight the Dragon everytime.

It sucks

What you're asking for is effectively megamule, and megamulers should be banned.

I feel as though the lack of cracked red eyes really make for some mundane gameplay. If we had it, I feel like it would effectively add a new flavor to the game, the same kind that the original Dark Souls had. Once you get enemy movement down, the lack of danger makes the game feel less like Souls and more like a hack and slash. With invasions, I feel I always had to be at my best.

Pigs in majula for a few. The main reason behind the inability to NG invade more than a couple times is to prevent newbie griefing alongside soul memory. If you don't understand enough mechanics to pvp on at least the most basic level by NG+, then you really might wanna just go offline mode and stay there.(not saying that to you directly that I quoted, just in general.) But yeah, there's the breaks for ya.
wow this thread was so dead lol I almost replied to it earlier looking at the time-stamp of the person above me till I noticed the op time-stamp =P ow well might as well. As far as red eye orbs haven't done online yet till i get this play-through over and get my rings. So just been saving them but I have like 60 so far and I'm only about a quarter of the way through the game. Been going slow making sure I've collected every little thing. And I always make each area I hit goes extinct.... its a ocd thing I feel I have to now. In DaS1 didn't care ran by most everything but this game since I can, I feel I have to, for some kinda completion thing lol. And to collect all the special gear as-well to throw into my bottomless box never to be seen again.

As far as mods go ya your never going to find a mod on nexus and such that gives you items or resets spawn limits at least a legit mod. Because that not like a graphics mod or tex replacer that would be interrupting and changing game code which is a no no if they ever re-enable VAC. Only way would be if they ever patched it and gave us some kinda option to respawn a area "besides ascetics" those are rare enough in ng as well only got two so far. And made orbs a little more common at the beginning.

Well couldn't they burn stuff that weakens links between worlds and maybe set spawn for loot by fireplace? That is a little breaking I understand, but this would mainly be for people who want to have a decent early PvP experience, ya know? Im not sure if I am gonna make it into the Newgame+ content, so it's kind of a bummer that my experience may end without any true player interactions aside from being a Summon Bro.
I don't know if you guys are aware, but there is 100% working table for endless mobs. If you didn't find it & you want it, feel free to contact me and I'll send you a link. Later guys! :)

Smelter is an optional boss. Furthermore, you don't have to fight him everytime provided you light the bonfire near his chamber after you beat him the first time.

Yep he's skippable.
