There is currently a problem with Dark Souls 2 and their online feature.
As previously explained, VAC bans for games DO NOT transfer from game to game, they are specific to that game and that game alone, so if you're banned on Call of Duty then you will only be banned on Call of Duty and not any other titles.
I don't understand why this is so hard for people like you to comprehend.
But also, people who are NOT banned (VAC ban) still are having issues when connecting to the game, so yes it is a bug, so yes it is a problem on Dark Souls 2 side.
