(I think that this is a standart size for a game today...)
Dark Souls 2 is twice as big (in terms of actual space it uses) as the original even on consoles, so on PC it will be even more. It's over 7 GB on consoles, expect at least 8 on PC. Steam might have you download 6-6.5 GB for something like that with the new content system, so also keep that in mind.
So maybe the game is acually not that really big. Well, anyway, we will only know for sure when the game gets released. It may actually be bigger than the console versions since we're getting some extra stuff, but my bets are still on 5-6GB.
Mine is supposed to be 512KBs but on steam it always top out at 60-65KBs
In that case I'm hating on my connection speed for no reason... I'm downloading at about
4.5 - 5 mbps and It is considared slow compared to other people in my country...
