WiiU Dark Souls 2 Release?
This is no joke, Whats with WiiU getting no good games. I'm sick and tired of playing Mario on my Wii. Bring some good ol' Hardcore games to WiiU.

becouse the controls of WiiU suck ass.

The Wii couldn't render the first Dark Souls. No point putting the sequel on the Wii U now when the fanbases are much more established on the Sony and MS consoles.
I couldn't care less about the WiiU. Why people on the steam forum would care? Maybe some here might share you disappointmentt, but this is not the right place to complain about this.
This was mainly a joke, Trying to change the complaints a little. Would you rather me cry about how the lighting in Dark Souls 2 console sucks? Or the fact that PC will look crappy as well?

Lock Thread Please lol
But you said it was no joke! Were you lying all this time?! How dare you!

The WiiU has a lower userbase. Your more likely to see them port it to PS4/Xbone.
In Japan the WiiU is selling more than the Ps4 why wouldn't they put it on WiiU?

I told you why.
Why wouldn't it be able to Render Dark Souls 2? Wanna Elaborate more, rather than just stating something?

I said the original Wii couldn't render the first Dark Souls. Dark Souls stuttered in 1024x720 on signicantly better hardware, so imagine how slowly it would run on the Wii.

Man, you bought the wrong console choice... You should know by now that the only games Nintendo throws at audiences are; Super Mario (meh after so many years), Zelda (all of the games are pretty awesome stifll), and Metroid. They're just now starting to bring back Donkey Kong, which back in the good ol' days were awesone, sadly, they're going to the way of Mario, and becoming very lackluster. Only game I'm looking forward to now on my Wii U that no other console has, is Super Smash Bros. Should be awesome.

Also Monster Hunter games on the Wii U aren't bad either (the one anyways). I have a feeling though that Capcom is going to send that franchise back to Sony, and possibly Microsoft though. Considering their new Title "Monster Hunter Online (MHO)" is running on an engine, and designed in such a way that the Wii U probably couldn't handle.

This console is dead, OP.
I agree with Potato.
I personally want Dark Souls 2 (or 1) on Wii U... there will be one more reason to buy this console.
I'm playing Dark Souls 2 on PS3 and I think it's really possible to do a Wii U version.

From S. will not make a Wii U version because Nintendo audience is too different and they don't want to waste money and resources for bad sales (that's what they said).
Moreover, Nintendo hinders developers instead help them because they don't want to share Mario (and friends) sales with someone else (that's what all developers said)...
From S. can easly do a Wii U version of both...
The real problems are Nintendo support and low sales, not "render problems"...

The answer to your question is really quite simple OP, the WiiU likely doesn't have the specs to run the game, they would likely have to downgrade the already downgraded console version for it to run on the WiiU system. Not to mention that Nintendo itself is slowly but surely going down the drain. I mean look at what happens when using the 360 specs for what is require/recommended for the pc version of dark souls:

DS2 PC requirments test using 360 specs --> http://www.game-debate.com/games/index.php?g_id=6122&game=Dark+Souls+2&p_make=Intel&p_deriv=Xeon+Processor+3.0+GHz&gc_make=ATI&gc_deriv=Radeon+X1800+Series+256MB&ram=0.512&checkSubmit=#systemRequirements

The Wii U has the required specs listed at the Store Page, if not more. It even has a lot of 60fps games, some even run at 1080p.

Albeit the normal version doesn't have enough harddrive space on it's own to store Dark Souls II.
