Unique/Fun ways to Play DS1 While Waiting?

Hello everyone,

I am curious to see if anyone has some interesting and fun ways to play through Dark Souls while we all wait for the 25th of April. I've played all classes quite a bit and am currently running Dusk, Solaire, and Ghost Ninja builds. Have you guys come across or tried any really unique builds / ways to play the game using player-set rules that have added to the fun and challenge of this magnificent game?

Homicidal mode. Everything you see you have to kill on sight. Including Andre, Giant, Gywnevere!

Play using only one hand in-game. Can also do that off game if you want. hehe

This looks fun to play with friends and laugh a lot. But I wouldn't dare play like this for real. XD

It's pretty fun, the weapon swap mod. Once you get to 27/40 str/dex it pretty much becomes a normal run though. Check out lobosjr's channel for Dark souls. He does some interesting runs. Dragon covenant punch nly run,greatbow only run,miracles only run. stuff like that, and many more.

Weapon: Club or Dark Sword
Shield: Plank, Darkhand, or Skull Lantern
Rings: None, Covenant of Artorias, or Orange Charred Ring
Magic: None
Upgrade path: Normal, raw, or occult

Special rules:
-No kindling
-No summoning
-Must defeat all area bosses (DLC is optional)
-Kill everyone (if possible)
-Pick Dark Lord ending of course

Hardcore: Don't light any bonfires

also SL 1 runs are always good.

Emmm.. dual handed all the way? Is very possible if you have pvp experience.

Alternatively, if you have PS3, get Demon Souls, which is at par with Dark Souls

Make a Giantdad as your last playthrough for DkS, that would sure leave some memories.

Sorry for the late reply. You can bonfires that is already activated but you just cannot light any. The idea by true Dark Lord is that by the end of the game all bonfires (except Ash Lake) should be extinguished. The DLC doesn't count because it is set way in the pass.

It would kinda be acting against the dark if you completed teh DLC content, but then again, the serpents won't know, and you can always RP and pretend that you didn't realize that the Dark was the way to go until after killing everything.

How about a Geralt of Rivia build?? That seems like it might be fun and possible in Dark Souls using the different miracles, pyro, and magic right?
