Straid of Olaphis ?

I just got to this guy, and the weapons and shields he offer doesn't shine so much.

my greatsword +5 has 300 dmg, compare to pursuer's greatsword(also didn't like moveset)
and the other weapons, is there anything good I should get there ?

or if I don't like anything there, can i waste all those souls of bosses i collected for leveling instead ?

Straid is one of the two boss soul traders, however he doesn't offer as good of a set of melee hard hitting weapons as the other one. I suggest you do use your boss souls on the traders however because they're either used for getting special weapons or souls, souls are inferior in this case.

By the way upgrading boss weapons requires a special item which isn't as common in the earlier parts of the game, so keep that in mind.

You can use their souls all you want, they are farmable (bonfire ascetic).

Boss weapons are upgraded to +5 so each of their upgrade level is better than normal weapon upgrade (which is max +10). However they are mostly balanced to each other, Souls is not a game where end game weapon is OP (except a few exception) compared to what you have access right at the start (Mace OP).

Straid boss weapon is available sooner for example Arced Sword is available earlier/easier than Murakumo and they are roughly the same, Warped Sword is very nice for its moveset which is different from Falchion/Scimitar etc.

I don't like any of the weapons he offer, do I need any of those souls for the other trader ?
pursuer soul, dragonrider,flexi senti, ruin senti. can I use them or need for later ?

all those you mentioned are for straid, so you can consume them

No you won't need them for later unless you want to buy the weapons, in which case you're going to have to use a Bonfire Ascetic to respawn a boss or go to NG+.

Flexible sentry club is the best.
Infuse it dark +10 and you can 4-6 hit NPCs to death with stamina left over.

Straid trades an early game boss souls for weapons. And he is the only one who trades boss souls from a whole game for special spells.
Ornifex trades boss souls from the second half of the game for weapons.
Note that there several types of items you can get for a single type of a soul. For example you can trade soul of nashadra either for the Chime of Want, or the Bow of Want, or the Scythe of Want. So if you want all 3 - you must have 3 Nashandra's souls.

it's ok I used those souls, since straid doesn't offer anything special. if i'll regret it as you guys said i can get the soul again, so it's no problem. thank you kindly
i'll now find what ultra greatsword I should aim for and place my stats accordin that.

also wouldn't mind to get some suggestions.

The one you're using will be best for you right now damage wise. Most of the other ultras are boss weapons anyways.
