Best armor set for a STR/FTH build with 2 weapons + Rebels Greatshield
Hia,

Im running 2 weapons (lightning mace + a lightning defender greatsword) and kings shield.
Besides that i have a defender greatshield incase i encounter mages or heavy magic bosses.

What armor set would you guys use and level on builds like this?

thanks!

Anyone care enough to give this noob some pointers? ;)

whichever you like and fits your vitality. Something temple-knight like would fit tho. Defenders armor maybe?!

Your VIT's probably fairly up there if you're using greatshields, or you're fatrolling something awful one. If your VIT is decent enough to use them and stay under 70%, then I'd suggest probably velstadt's chest/gloves/legs with helm of your choice that matches up... if you're interested purely in looks, would give a nice paladin like look to your str/fth build.

Syan's set has kind of a paladin feel to it, and the heide knight set from NG+/bonfire ascetic'd heide knights is a commonly used one... You can also mix n match pieces of blue sentinel targray's set if you have that to make a decent looking paladin set.

Not a problem. I love helping players where I can. Much more fun for me than being a member of the "toxic" part of this community.

I totally dig the Llewylin armor. It's super light for how tough it is, and it looks badass. Makes me feel like jon snow lol. Light armor means I don't need a huge Vit score and Soldier ring, but I can still carry the big weapons weapons I like.

I had thought about the Llewylen set, but being as a str/faith build I kinda thought they may have wanted the paladin look, and with Llewylen's being black.... you get the idea. XD

For sure. Another honorable mention is the Alva set. Might not be the look you're after, but it would be my next choice for light armor. I'd also second Velstadt's set. That's a Paladin set for sure.

My advice would be to keep a low-weight armor with one piece from a set with good poise - then you can hold the heavy weapons and keep your quick roll.

Based on my stat analysis of the game, the best armors are:

Ultralight: Cale's Set, Black Leather Set, Shadow Set, Wanderer's Set
Light: Bell Keeper, Hard Leather, Pate's, Lucatiel's
Medium: Gyrm, Faraam, Benhart, Catarina
Heavy: Old Knight, Dragonrider, Drakekeeper
Ultraheavy: Havel's, Smelter Demon's

These are the best for protection. The best weight/defense ratios are:

Ultralight: Moon Butterfly, Manikin, Lion Warrior
Light: Judgement, Llewllyn, Black Dragon
Medium: Alva, Heide, Ruin Set (stupidly hard to farm, but very cool-looking)
Heavy: Velstadt, Drakekeeper
Ultraheavy: Mastodon or Havel

Personally, I prefer Lucatiel's, Black Leather, Ruin, Drakekeeper, Llewllyn, or the Heide Set. Heavy armor doesn't seem worth it to me, but that's just an opinion.
