Is DS2 worth getting?

I've played and finished dark souls: everything to die pc edition. Loved it. Never played on ng+ though.

I"ve heard a lot and seen a lot from ds2. Will it still be worth getting? Is it harder than ds1? Does it support controllers on pc?

its not harder controlers work like a charm and its deffinetly worth it on sale but you may want to wait for a bit to see if it goes lower.

in my opinion it's a very good game, not as good as the first one but still a good one (and with some controversial elements like soul memory), but still it's worth the money imo, especially now that's on sale. or just wait for a flash/daily sale and you're even more sure

Yes, no, yes I used ps3 with motion joy, just bought an xbox 360 controller and works, I would assume if u have a PC game pad and works in other games it would work on dark souls 2

PVP stinks after a while but it is not bad tbh. Something keeps me going back even though I am p!ssed off with the crappy design mistakes at times.

Dark Souls 2 has a lot more variety than the first game, but some areas and bosses seem a bit repetitive. All in all, though, it is very worth the price.

Dark Souls 2 is less gritty, more fantasy like, but it's still worth it. The first dlc is going to be released soon, you might have some minor sale then...

I prefer Dark Souls 2 to Dark Souls.

It is absolutely worth getting. A controller is recommended.

Demon's souls, Dark souls and Dark souls 2 ftw, they are all great.
But with that said Dark souls 3 better be next gen.

Much easier than the original they made the game pretty casual and super easy. If you like the first one chances are you won't like this one since it's a basic downgrade besides co-op working better although the co-op makes the game even more easy. The characters and bosses are pretty standard except for rehashes in boss fights and prepare to fight a bunch of dudes in armor. Lore in this game is pretty bad and unintresting. Deffinitly the worst souls game. On it's own it's an above avergae action rpg however it's hard to ignore the fact the game feels like a cheap version of dark souls.

The game is a bit easier. Especialy in solo. I Find sumonning people to kill boss to make it harder because the boss get 50%+ def for each ally you have.

And often the person you summon will die in a single hit haha. Leaving you with a buffed boss.

You also can warp between any bonfire from the start of the game and they are many of them in each zones. Usualy 1 at the start. 1 or 2 in the middle. and often 1 right before the boss.

Please define casual. The game has some parts that ate harder (but fairer) than many encounters in Dark Souls 1.

What? No, it is not, in any way except Dark 1 having an organic world design while DS2 doesn't, at all.

Co-op makes things easier, yes. Even if the bosses get buffed, it is not enough to offset the other players's damage.

Nah. Just more hidden and worsely given to the player. If anything, the game is too vague. The story is pretty good for what it is.

Disagree. Then again, I rank both Demon's and Dark 2 over Dark 1.

Almost same game mechanic as DS1. Parry and BS are harder now. Framerate finally fixed. A lot of fun in PVE and PVP. Though PVP is less balanced than in DS1.
